The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “The Christian home is the place where children receive the first proclamation of the faith. For this reason, the family home is rightly called ‘the domestic church,’ a community of grace and prayer, a school of human virtues and Christian charity.” (1666) In order to support the domestic church in the families of our own community, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton offers our Mothers’ Day Out on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9am – 2pm. Our goals are:
We hope through this ministry to better equip our families to serve as a first school of Christian life and a school for human enrichment.
Our staff members are dedicated to the love and care of your children. Each is trained in Infant and Child CPR and First Aid. We strive to maintain a healthy and safe environment that fosters the social, emotional and physical development of your child. We are blessed to be a part of this ministry of the church and thank you for the opportunity to share in your child’s life.
Registration and Tuition
To secure enrollment for your child, a registration form must be completed. A non-refundable fee of $100.00 is due at the time the registration form is turned in. Monthly tuition is due at the beginning of each month. Tuition is $225.00 per month. We accept cash and checks at this time. Please make checks payable to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, or SEAS MDO. Tuition should be placed in the tuition basket on the sign-in table.
The monthly tuition is still applicable should a child be absent due to family travel or sickness.
Daily Guidelines
When you arrive in the morning, please sign your child in at the table in the office area. Indicate a telephone number where you can be reached in case of emergency. Also indicate if someone other than yourself (or regular care giver) will be picking your child up from MDO. Be sure that the individual’s name is listed on the enrollment form. Sign your child out in the afternoon when leaving.
Your child’s teacher will be ready for the children to enter the room at 9:00 am. The time before is valuable preparation time! MDO is over at 2:00 pm. If unusual or emergency circumstances arise and you will be late, please call us at 318-797-7087.
We will observe legal and school holidays. (If Caddo Parish Schools are closed, we will be closed.) In case of inclement weather, we will follow any school closure decisions made by Caddo Parish Schools. You will be notified in advance of holiday schedules.
Snacks & Naps
The children will have a mid-morning snack. Please sign-up in your child’s class to help provide snacks. Please send a drink for snack time. The children will need to bring their lunch to MDO. Please send bite-sized pieces and two drinks for your child. Avoid foods that may be a choking hazard. Please label your child’s lunch box and cup!
The children will take a nap after lunch. Please send a nap mat and blanket for your child. If your child rests/sleeps with a special blanket or security item, you may send it to MDO.
Our days will be filled with a variety of developmentally appropriate activities including indoor/outdoor play, music, reading, and lots of love from our teachers.
Medical Policies
A completed registration form with Medical Release information for your child must be on file before your child may attend MDO. A copy of your child’s immunization record is also required. A copy of “good health” guidelines will be provided to each family.
Incident and/or Accident Reports will be completed if your child is hurt while at MDO. Please be aware that our staff may not administer medication to your child. If your child is taking an antibiotic, he/she should have been taking the medication for at least 24 hours before attending MDO. Please notify the Director if your child has been exposed to or contracts a contagious illness. Parents of children who have been exposed will be notified. Notify the Director and your child’s teacher of any medical conditions or allergies that your child may have.
